Tawx’sin Yexwulla, Aaron Nelson Moody—known to friends and family simply as Splash—is a gifted carver, jeweller, teacher and educator, storyteller and writer, canoe-puller, husband, mentor and friend. His gifts as an artist, speaker and teacher have been deepened understandings of Indigenous ways of knowing in the lower mainland, Coast Salish territory and beyond, for many many years.

Foraged Ink | Calder Cheverie
On the homepage logo, the paddles created by Splash feature an element of colour. The featured colours come from a series titled Renderings of Landscape (2022) by artist and educator Calder Cheverie. Each 5x8 image is made from foraged ink gathered in Stó:lō territory over 4 seasons as a process of kinship-making and reclamative wayfinding (Davis, 2009; Cheverie, 2023).
